Final Test
Create a brain based unit that you will use immediately in the fall semester that incorporates ideas from the book and fellow students. Keep in mind the 8 multiple intelligences as you design the lessons. Also allow students to have the choice to be assessed in their strong intelligence and indicate how you will do that. (I have some handouts that you will get that will help you with this) You may complete the unit using your districts' curriculum template or any other method you are comfortable with. Post a summary of your unit on the blog so that others who might want a copy can contact you. Also please send it to me by snail mail to 936 Linden Ave Rice Lake Wi 54868. I will plan to share it with other teachers when I go to workshops or do inservices. If you don't want me to share it, please let me know......Thanks.

3) How will you incorprate this research into your curriculum to make it more brain based?
Welcome to the Brain Base Learning blog. We will use this space to share our ideas on best practices we already use and those we will use after learning about the latest research on the brain. Those who are teaching students who are Pre K through 6 will be using the book entitled "Begin With the Brain" by Martha Kaufeldt. Teachers of students 7-12 and older will use the book by Sheryl Feinstein called "Secrets of the Teenage Brain" which has the latest research on the subject. You will respond to the same three questions for each chapter and please answer the questions thouroughly. Feel free to respond to each others ideas as I hope you will pick up great ideas from each other. I will respond every so often to your comments and will call you periodically to see how you are doing. Call me anytime you have a problem at 715.236.2088. You are on your own and all I ask is that you finish by the last day of class. I will send in grades after that and St Thomas will send you the grade. When you recieve your grade from them, then request your transcript...not before. Please note that some of the chapters and questions are out of sync(chapter 6 before 5 etc) and as a novice I have to find out how to fix it but until then just make sure you get chapter 3's answer where chapter three is...thanks. Again, welcome aboard and I hope we learn much from each other. Barney Slowey
